Big 5 country, without the crowds
Addo Elephant National Park protects the largest population of elephants in the world — over 600 individuals — in a malaria-free reserve that's one of Africa's best-kept secrets. Because Addo doesn't attract the same flood of tourists as Kruger, you'll often have a waterhole entirely to yourself, watching a herd drink and play in complete silence.
With Honey as your private guide, you're not following a fixed loop. You go where the animals are. You stay when something extraordinary is happening. You leave when you've had enough — not when the timetable says so. The Big 5 are all present: elephant, buffalo, black rhino, lion, and spotted hyena. The experience is intimate in a way that large-group safaris simply aren't.

Your Day
05:30 — Dawn Departure
An early start from Port Elizabeth or Grahamstown. Animals are most active at dawn. Coffee and rusks provided en route.
07:00 — Enter the Park
Into Addo at first light. Honey begins her reading of the bush — tracks, behaviour, which waterholes have been visited overnight.
09:00 — Elephant Herd Encounter
Addo almost always delivers an elephant encounter at close range. We position the vehicle correctly, engine off, and simply watch. Some groups spend an hour here.
12:00 — Bush Picnic
A private picnic at a designated site inside the park. Fresh food prepared by Honey's team. The sounds of the bush as your soundtrack.
14:00 — Afternoon Game Drive
The afternoon light is golden and the animals become active again. We track buffalo, watch for black rhino, and scan the sky for the 400 bird species recorded here.
17:30 — Sundowners & Return
Watch the sunset from a viewpoint with a cold drink. Then back to your accommodation by evening.
