The Transkei — Africa's last wild shore
The Wild Coast is one of South Africa's most remote and spectacular stretches of coastline. Untouched by mass tourism, the Transkei region unfolds in rolling green hills that fall into dramatic cliffs and thundering surf. Xhosa culture is alive here in a way it isn't in the Cape's cities — and Honey, who knows this coast personally and deeply, opens doors that most travellers never find.
This multi-day expedition covers waterfalls that plunge directly into the sea, hidden beaches, traditional Xhosa homesteads, and the story of Nelson Mandela's birthplace. It's not comfortable in the luxury-hotel sense. It's the kind of journey that stays with you for decades.
